The Holidays at Woodlin

Woodlin Lodge No 30 F&AM (PHA) –Bordentown New Jersey 5th Masonic District

WB Dandy L. Jackson Worshipful Master

Woodlin Lodge’s Annual Holiday party was held on December 21, 2013.  There was a change in location due to a scheduling conflict with Hope Hose Fire House in Bordentown, so Carslake Community Center also in Bordentown was selected and used this year.  The change of venue did not change the amount of fun that was had by all who participated.  Age appropriate gifts were given to the children, the joy and spirit of the season was spread to all.  The sister’s of Princess Leah No 23 Order of the Eastern Start assisted the Brother’s of Woodlin Lodge No 30 in making the day a great one!

William H. Moss Grand Council Order of Pythagorans

We the Members of Woodlin Lodge No. 30 of Free and Accepted Masons, of Bordentown New Jersey, have started a chapter of the Order of Pythagorean in Our Lodge.  This order is for young boys and men between the ages of 8 and 18.  The Order of Pythagoreans is developed to provide a club for boys, emphasizing programs regarding their educational, social, physical and moral development.

We will be holding an interest meeting for participants and parents/guardians on:

August 25th 3PM – 5PM

Please feel free to join us for any questions or concerns you may have.  The children involved will be asked to attend 1 monthly meeting plus any other scheduled activities we may be sponsoring.  There will be no cost associated with this organization, although fundraising will be required to assist in some activities.

The Members who will be assisting in this effort do not think of it as bribery or thievery to donate our time to your children and show them the Art of Good Citizenship.  The Programs of the Order will be diversified to meet the needs and interest of its members.  Our aim is to develop better Sons and Men.

Please join us at our Open House on the above dates for enrollment.

Woodlin Lodge No 30 F&AM (PHA)

Brethren of Woodlin Lodge No 30,

I am humble first by being elected to the office of Worshipful Master of OUR Lodge.  This year has taught me a lot about myself and further confirmed that hard work and planning pays off.

This year would not have been a success without the blessings of the Grand Architect of the Universe and our own determination.  Humbly I accept the honor yet it is an honor that we all can share in for without the members of OUR Lodge this award would not be possible.

A Piece of History

Woodlin Lodge No 30 (PHA) Re-obligation Rededication Program

Mt Moriah Lodge No 28 Grand Lodge of New Jersey

1st Visit to Woodlin Lodge No 30 (PHA)

On March 5, 2013, Mt. Moriah Lodge No 28 and Woodlin Lodge No 30 (PHA) both of Bordentown New Jersey for the first time sat together in a Tyled Lodge of Master Masons. This was Woodlin’s Annual Re-obligation and Rededication Program as all Prince Hall Masons in the jurisdiction of New Jersey do in the month of March.

The guest speaker for the evening was Most Worshipful John M. Bettis, Past Grand Master, Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New Jersey.  It is important to note that MW Bettis was the Grand Master as well as MW Larry S. Plasket Past Grand Master of the Ancient and Honorable Society of Free and Accepted Mason for the State of New Jersey who signed the treaty between the two Grand Lodges on September 22, 2002 allowing for visitations between the two bodies.

This was a very memorable night of fellowship, well wishes and Brotherhood! Worshipful Master Sapp of Woodlin and Worshipful Master George Chidley of Mt Moriah were both excited and delighted about the evening.

This excitement was shown by WM Chidley inviting WM Sapp and all of Woodlin who could attend to their annual Masonic Debate versus Burlington Lodge on April 10, 2013.  The invitation was accepted and another wonderful evening of fellowship in sued.  Both Woodlin and Mt. Moriah hope to continue the fraternal fellowship into the future.

Brother to Brother

Many of our Brothers have from time to time suffer from the trials of life.  In an effort to lift our Brothers up and to dispense charity at home.  Our Brother Eddie Davis delivered fruit baskets to Woodlin Members who have either suffered a recent lost in their family or dealing with a serious illness.  Four Baskets were delivered in total.  Lets keep all of our Brothers in Prayer as well as the World At Large.
